Carpentry

Choose from one of six impressive carpentry projects to build while you learn to safely operate tools, cut, nail, glue, and sand. 

Closed toe shoes are required.

Course Outline

Day 1 - Mon

Introduction and safety rules explained, students select project - Sitting Bench, Bird Feeder, Table, Treasure Chest, Bookshelf, and Step Stool/Chair, students are paired up with a partner and begin cutting projects with assistance from teacher.

Day 2 - Tue

Students continue cutting, if needed, and begin to piece their projects together.

Day 3 - Wed

Students continue building their projects: cutting, sanding, nailing, gluing, etc.

Day 4 - Thu

Students complete projects, final sanding.

Schedule

Enrollment begins April 6 for 9-11-year-olds and April 13 for 12-14-year-olds.
